Satir meets the Annandale Approach

  • Imagine Virginia Satir meeting with Les Greenberg, Jeanne Watson and Sandra Paivio.

  • Imagine Virginia Satir meeting Michelle Webster, Clare Stapleton and Lisa Champion.

  • Imagine her meeting practitioners from the Annandale approach.

  • What would be said?

  • What could be shared?

  • How do we converge? Diverge?

In the workshop, we will bring this imagining to fruition. Virginia Satir meets the Annandale approach. We will see how the two approaches can work together. We will briefly taste three major exploratory tasks in the Satir model – coping stances, personal iceberg and the family map. Then we will explore what her model can bring to the Annandale model. Iris Yip had the opportunity of completing some intensive training in the Virginia Satir model. Together with Michelle, we invite you to embark on this exciting journey to explore how these two approaches can enrich each other.
